The Ontario government does have the power to suspend or revoke Certificates of Approval for wind turbines

The two documents fit together: 1 relates to a meeting with the Premier’s senior policy advisor on energy and the other is a commentary on the OPA meeting held in Ottawa.
Based on citations, the government of Ontario has the power to suspend or revoke a Certificate of Approval or Renewable Energy Approval and to impose a moratorium.

  1. Thank you Carmen, Beth and Barbara for this excellent piece of work, which should be enough to enable Premier Wynne to act decisively. Hopefully the ERT decision on Ostrander Point will precipitate an immediate Change in the Wind, enabled by your fine presentation showing that such a change is not only needed, but also possible.
